Chances are you struggle (like I do) with finding good keywords. Finding keywords isn’t actually the problem. I have a problem finding good ones.
I thought the data from Google’s keyword tool was always bang on. Why wouldn’t I? Big company like that shouldn’t be giving false figures. Well, that’s not always the case.
Any data you get isn’t accurate. At the time it was put together it will have been perfectly correct. I accidentally discovered the answer to that puzzle.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I was pretty confident I could get a result from that. I started churning out articles by the bucket load.
Pretty soon I noticed over 9000 competitors. I was downhearted at this new revelation. Maybe it was going to be far more difficult than I imagined. I was relieved to see that an awful lot of these competitors were showing my articles.
My point being is that I’d have swerved this keyword if I had seen nine thousand competitors. As a lot of them were mine (or had my article on) I was competing against my self most of the time. A nice situation to be in!
Not wanting to rely on luck every time I thought I’d try a keyword research service. My hope was to get some ‘killer’ keywords delivered by email every day. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.
Travis Sago was offering a service which I decided to try. After all, he’s the king of the bum marketers. Bum (article) marketing is something I enjoy as it’s almost free.
It takes me an hour or two to come up with a couple of decent keywords. Getting them delivered is a huge help. An hour or two of my time is highly valuable to me when all I have is time. Put that couples hours saved against the daily cost and it adds up to value.
I get a lot of emails from gurus banging on about outsourcing. And what I’m trying here is simply that. Outsourcing my keyword research to someone else.
If you want to know how I got on with the keyword research service head on over to my website and see for yourself how it turned out. I also mentioned earlier how I got thousands of articles on web pages all over the net. I’ll explain how I did that on my site.
A great way to start profiting from your creative writing is to sign up for a blogging program, create a blog, and post regular content.A regular basis means just that, updating you blog in a consistently, at least twice a week. Remember, if you do not update your article regularly, it will not get the visits or readers needed to profit.
After Blog Construction
Once you have posted an adequate amount of articles on your blog (more than 10 entries), you can focus on connecting to businesses, online and off, that specialize in connecting professional bloggers to businesses that wish to pay for reviews of their products or services. These businesses may also want you to have their links embedded on your website or on certain blog posts.
In this article, I have listed my top 4 tips to implement when starting a money-making blog by crafting a profitable online creative writing business:
1. What Interests You Most?
Blogging doesn’t have to be a full-time gig, but once businesses begin to invest in your blog, you must deliver. Constant readership means you need to be constantly uploading content. You must have an idea of what you are most passionate about. What magazines do you read most often? What excites you most about your current career or job? Once you understand your passion, your drive, and excitement for a particular subject, you can be rest assured that constant content and joyous research will follow.
2. Find Keywords that Pay Big
Immediately, after choosing what your desired topic(s) will be, it’s a good idea to search for high paying keywords related to the topic. There are tools such as Overtures Keyword Selector Tool, and many more. Simply perform a Google Search, and then type in profitable online keyword generator, or anything similar to that phrasing. A list of websites offering the information you want will be listed. What information do you want? The most popular keyword searches within the last month.
3. Get Ready … Get set… Write!
Once you have your niche idea, and you have identified keywords, you are set to begin the wonderful creative blog writing process. One thought to make the blogging experience easier for you to adjust to is, image that it’s like your personal journal. Remain true to who you are, and try to add as much passion into your posts as you have for the subject itself. Incorporate your keywords throughout the content without overdoing it; conversely, try not to only add your keyword just once or twice. Also, online pinging services can assist in alerting the search engines that you have uploaded new content. Services such as Pingomatic and Pingoat are but two of many other services that helps you alert existing readers, as well as search engines, that you have something fresh to offer.
4. Place Ads on your Blog
After you have established some readership, and some could be a mere 5 unique visitors a day, you might consider placing some advertisements on your blog. Adsense is, by far, one of the most popular online paying publishers. It’s best to place these ads in areas of your blog or blog posts that will receive clicks from visitors. Choose a format that fits the look and feel of your blog in a dynamic way, for example, the 336X280 is a great option to utilize, because it looks like regular links, and not like ads. So remember, the more content you create, the more people will visit your blog, and the more people that visit your blog the more likely they are to click on ads. The more adverts your visitors click, the more money you make, and just think, you can do all of this simply with creative writing.
You might think I am mad but I am giving free advice and coaching to people who want to get higher volumes of visitors to their internet sites, here is why.
Although daunted at the time I have uncomfortable memories of creating and putting up my first web site back in 2000. Everyone who embarks upon the challenge of designing a web site should have someone to help. Developing your first web presence can appear complicated if you don’t have the right skills and understanding.
Subjects like comprehending the significance of back links and keywords, how they influence Google page rankings and page authority, and the relationships between these and visitor volumes are difficult to grasp and continuously poorly explained by significant numbers of “experts” on the web. I constantly meeting people who want to create a business or set up a site on the Internet so I have set out to do something about it.
I am fortunate enough to have spent a considerable amount of time seeking out, rounding up, testing, studying and mastering the large selection of different techniques and tool kits for establishing a presence on the web, driving surfers to my web sites and constantly improving my methods. I have decided to start teaching.
As a result efforts and achievements I am lucky enough to be in a position to do this and devote a large amount of quality time to it. Every one who is just beginning or already creating a presence on the web wants a short cut, I’m no different and therefore whenever I have found really good content and tools that work I am going to direct my students at these rather than try and reinvent the wheel.
Everything I have reviewed that has produced good or excellent results will be included in my training material and where there are gaps I have filled them in. Obviously along the way I have developed some techniques, tools and methods of my own that I regularly use which I will be including in the training.
