This is a tutorial and skit for routing your android phone’s internet into your mac then into your xbox 360. If you don’t get wifi on your xbox your mac will route the tethered wifi on your 3G android 2.2 phone and direct it to the xbox via ethernet. What’s needed? A mac computer with wifi and OS 10.5 or greater ( I have snow leopard). An android 3G phone with OS Froyo 2.2 installed. 3G Access in proximity to the couch where you will play on Xbox Live. An ethernet cord (the one that comes with your xbox will work fine). Follow these settings, given in the video, on your mac OS 10.5 or later: 1. Start Internet Sharing if it’s not already running. 2. In Terminal, type cp /private/etc/bootpd.plist /tmp/bootpd.plist 3. Stop Internet Sharing. 4. Open /tmp/bootpd.plist for editing using TextEdit or whatever. 5. Locate this section of the file, near the end: key reply_threshold_seconds /key integer 4 /integer . (With carrot signs in between the spaces, not included here.) 6. Change the value 4 to 0. 7. In Terminal, type sudo cp /private/tmp/bootpd.plist /etc 8. Start Internet Sharing. 9. If you want to, check that your change to /private/etc/bootpd.plist hasn’t been reverted.
