So you want to have a Video of your conference/seminar?

When you have invested so much time and effort in a conference or seminar, particularly if high profile speakers have come from overseas or if many of your potential audience are unable to attend, it’s quite normal to want to create a video record of the event.
When it’s all calmed down how do you remember the momentum you got from listening to the keynote speaker or the objectives for the next year from the Managing Director.
Many people choose to keep a record of their conference by having a video made but what’s the best way to go about it?
I’m going to share with you my experience from filming and attending an untold number of conferences and seminars.

How to plan the conference

You need to ask some key questions:
what is your audience interested in?
– How many people will be speaking in each session (that way we can make sure you’re getting the best sound possible)
what do you want to achieve by making a video and who is your potential market?
what are the key messages from the conference or seminar?
How will they see the video after the event?

A1 Conference Video Production can then help you devise a approach for your conference or seminar video that will succeed.
What is the lighting like?  Are the ceilings low?

The Day of the Conference

A1 Conference Video Production always provide two cameras, which will be synched together.  This allows us to provide a variety of shots in the finished video DVD, CD-ROM or web streaming video.  It also provides safety cover in case the presenter moves suddenly or something else happens to spoil the main shot.
if the conference or seminar is illustrated with Powerpoint or Keynote slides or a software demo, we would capture that separately as it offers us more control during the editing process. This always provides higher quality than shooting the screen at the event.
If you have media files, let us look at them in advance as we can integrate them in the finshed product.

The final cut

Once it’s all captured we have an experienced team of editors to get it to you as quickly as possible. We can provide you with an MP4 rough cut for approval then we add titles, voiceover links and any other elements you require.
Once you approve this, we add titles, voiceover links, cutaways and other elements to provide a polished production.
We want you to have the best possible product and get the most of your conference. We will do all we can to make that happen.
