Business VoIP is growing rapidly in popularity. The reasons behind this trend are multifaceted, but to recap, VoIP technology allows for phone lines to travel through the Internet. The technology has now been around long enough that it has proven to be a stable and effective business solution.

Now on to the reason why VoIP is increasing among bussinesses lately. One reason is because companies are suffering economically. The contracting economy has caused companies to lose some workers. This means that companies will persue any means to cut costs. Companies are reevaluating how they do business and they are finding new ways to communicate and to operate so that they can optimize their workers, and their systems.

An additional factor is innovation. As people begin to take risks, and follow untraditional paths, start-up companies become more and more ideal. With business VoIP a two-person startup company out of a garage can change an entire industry. This was never possible a few decades ago, and so VoIP provides for much more flexibility. VoIP helps level the playing field between small businesses and big industry by its communication services and opportunities that were previously reserved for big companies. Small businesses are required to find low cost solutions to communication with both clients and employees. With business VoIP’s ability to merge together voice-mail, e-mail, telephone, conferencing, and faxing, it is easy to see how such technology can save you money.

VoIP helps large companies who have multiple locations and many consumers that live throught the country. VoIP cuts down on travel costs, and onsite visits. Conferences are much easier with VoIP, companies are realizing. A winning situation for all participants.

As your business day starts to expand, employees have the freedom to work from home with the same efficiency as in the office. Being confined to the office is no longer in your agenda, you can conduct business just about anywhere! The systems are very easy to maintain and enhance, so company expansion or migration is not a problem..

And, figuring out how to accommodate your company if it moves or expands, is the job of your hosted provider not yours. They will take care of all the maintenance and day-to-day operations of the system making sure your system runs without a glitch.

Vocalocity is a great Hosted VoIP solution.

It is certainly cheaper to go with a VoIP option, mostly for international or long-distance calls. Being basically an up-and-coming business, we can’t indulge into luxury and this is a great option. I don’t use Vocalocity, though, but I do look for a new provider as our old provider seems like he’s not doing his job right… oh well.
