I purchased this cable and wall adapter to use with an additional Touchstone for my Palm Pre. It’s a little more expensive than some of the USB cables out there, but there are so many mixed reviews on them working with the Touchstone that I figured it was a safer bet. I was pleased when it arrived that the cable is not like the one pictured, but it is identical to the cable included with the Pre (minus the attached rubber cable tie). It fits right into the Touchstone with no alterations needed (I’ve read some reviews where the plastic had to be shaved off to fit). After plugging into the wall adapter it was good to go and charging perfectly!

I just wanted to make it clear to people that this is an identical item (both the usb cable AND the wall charger piece) to the one that comes with the Pre.
It has the same distinctive palm branded circle, heavy duty cable, and even the little plastic thing that holds the cable together.
Things to know:
- The box is OEM not retail. Which means that packaging is less than impressive. (vibe cellular vendor)
- Works and looks just like the original, and hence it’s touchstone compatible.
- I tried one knock off charger, and it would randomly not charge. So I would not recommend that route, especially given the price (around $15) you can get the real one for.
- keep one at home and one at work.

I agree with the other 1-star Review. The product is probably fine. Just don’t order it from AccesoryOne because their stock is not correct. You only get the charging cable – not the wall adapter. And you can’t get them to send the wall adapter separate so you have to return it and buy it somewhere else. So beware who you order it from!

I got the cable from The OEM Shop and it was DOA. I have the original charger that came with the phone and a touchstone. I tried the OEM charger with and without the touchstone without any luck. I tried the cable with the original AC USB wall adapter, still nothing. I tried the AC USB wall adapter with the original charging USB cable and no combination worked.
Another thing. The cable does not have the rubberized strap. The AC USB wall adapter is larger in diameter and longer than the original charger that came with the phone. It looked new and was Palm marked. It was essentially in a zip lock bag but after all, it is being sold as an OEM product. Just in case anyone is wondering, there is only 1 AC USB wall unit. I didn’t get the SF Planet strap or the ShamWow hanky that the pictures show (not that I have any use for them).
Most reviewers seem to be happy with their chargers so I assume I just got a bad one.
On the positive side, The OEM Shop’s processing is impressive. I made the purchase on 3/24/2010 at about 11pm and paid for regular shipping. It was shipped out on 3/25, and received on 3/27 despite the estimated date of delivery being 3/30-4/2.

I had the same experience as the other 1-star reviews. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE WHAT IS DESCRIBED OR PICTURED!!! I ordered two of these, and only received the USB cables, not the wall chargers. I contacted Amazon customer support who said they couldn’t just send the remaining pieces of my order because it was sold by Accessory One, but they would let me return what I got or receive a small credit. Only, the links in the e-mail didn’t work, so I had to contact Amazon customer support again, and finally just settled for a partial credit. Lesson learned. Some deals really are too good to be true.
