Yes, anytime you have a multi-billion dollar industry which is not regulated and forced offshore you WILL attract a criminal element.

When I came into the industry in 2001 it was 50/50 who was honest and who was a crook. Now, it’s 80% good guys who are licensed in the UK, Gibralter, Isle of Mann, ect.

Yes, you still need to be careful, but all the “criminalization” the US Government has done to the industry has NOT stopped it! We MUST have regulation to have player protection. Period.

I am all for online regulation 100% but it pains me to say that the online casino industry is a SHAM. At least the software brands for certain casinos I play with. The patterns to deter your winnings are recognizable and the the odds of outcomes that have very, very low odds of frequently coming out, comes unnaturally often. I have been taking notes strenuously for a few months and I can attest that you won’t see patterns like these in a natural environment.

    What’s up with Finland?

I heard online poker is finished there. Now they want to set up a state run site?
    Maybe the U.S. will follow.
Pokerstars is the largest poker site and it is run out of Israel via Isle of Man set up right before 9-11-01? At least it has cool ads.
