But it doesn’t have to be this way. It can be done in 3 easy steps. To start with, you should make absolutely sure that your article url’s are optimized for the search engines. With many free blog services like Google’s Blogger blogs, this is automatically done for you. If you use WordPress, then you’ll want to change your permalinks so that the code produces optimized url’s when you create a post.

The way you do this in WordPress is find the the Permalinks tab, and check the button along side the Custom field. Then you’ll put a percentage sign followed by the words Postname. {Immediately after the words postname, Now} put another percentage sign. Now all your blog post will have SEO optimized urls.

The most important tip on SEO optimizing your blog is to put the keyword in the Title of your blog. Your next move is to put your keywords in your Post’s title. If you want blog readers to visit your post about online auctions to earn money, then your keywords need to be in your post title. Not something like How I Make Money With Auctions. Doing this prevents the search engine bots from figuring out what your post is about and you can forget about getting free traffic.
