• • Keeping it natural Your blog is a way of conveying your ideas and opinions. Try not to write it in excessively formal a manner like you are writing a report or it may turn readers off. One thing I found was that readers love a conversational style of writing. • Captivating Headlines Headlines may be one of the most significant components in your blog posts. This is because an eye catching headline relevant to the topic will right away capture the attention of the readers and make them want to find out more by reading the body of the post. An ordinary headline on the other hand has the opposite effect. You can check out the top newspapers to see how they do their headlines. • Keeping your entries simple and concise Get your point across in an appealing but concise manner. If you have a long entry, break up the text with paragraphs. Using images that is pertinent to what you are talking about is always a good idea. Take note to edit the image’s size so that it fits well into the general layout of your blog. Too much droning makes your blog boring. Also remember that you are publishing to the entire world. Some slang, expressions, acronyms may not be understood by people from other countries. So, it is important to either keep to internationally accepted expressions, or if you have to use a slang/acronym, take the time to explain what you mean in brackets next to it.
• Staying on Topic While I had previously mentioned that you should blog interestingly, I have to warn you of the risk of “drifting” or moving off topic. Sometimes we get all caught up and get sidetracked to another topic, although eventually we get back on track, this sidetracking may leave a bad taste in your readers’ mouth. • Being Informative As mentioned earlier, there is a need to add worth to your blog, so that your readers actually find they learn something new. If you are going to offer links, give more information about them instead of just putting them up. Give each link or group of links a little paragraph of information to catch the reader’s interest. • Blogging often A lot of bloggers lack the discipline to blog often. Stick to a schedule. If you are comfortable with blogging everyday, then make it a habit to do so by working it into your daily schedule. If you blog once a week, that’s fine too, just make sure it is on a regular basis, like on every Friday. That way, your loyal readers will also know when to expect the next update and when to check back. A regularly updated blog will also mean the search engines will spider the pages at regular intervals. If you want to have a blog making money all you have to do is learn the basics of blogging to make money. It is rather simple and easy but you have to make sure that you have a passion for writing, otherwise, earn money blogging will not be an option for you.

If you are not in the top ten of Google, it would be like your website is inexistent. Only 10% of searchers bother to search beyond the first page of search results. Being in the first 10 is important as discussed in ppc bully. If your site is not on the first few pages, it is unlikely that your web site will ever be seen – except by you and your friends!
There are many factors that determine the relevancy of your website. But no one knows exactly how much weight Google attaches to each factor. For this reason, no one can guarantee your spot in Google.
Getting on the first page of Google can be tedious but is possible if you follow some SEO guidelines. Getting listed on the first page of Google depends on a number of factors:
* Your target keyword
* Number of competing pages for your target keyword
* The size of your website
* How well you use keywords on your site
* Number of baclinks pointing to your website
To be on the first page of Google, first make sure that your website outshines the competition. Add regular features, articles and special offers, give your visitors good reason to return to your site. Research, update and constantly improve.
Do keyword research and identify the keywords that you want to go for. Help your website to be found by including the words people are using to search in your text. Make sure it still makes sense to your visitors. Put relevant keywords as well but do not put your keywords repeatedly.
Link back to your website as much as you can. Each backlink is like a vote to your website.
While SEO is important and worth paying for if you can afford it, there are some things you can do if you are on a tight budget. Just remember that optimizing your site takes time and you are unlikely to see immediate results unless you have identified a keyword that has little effective competition.

The social and media landscapes across the United States have been changing for years, and continue to change even faster than before, creating marketing challenges for small businesses across the country. Part of that change is the quickly disappearing reach of the traditional media such as newspapers, television, shoppers, and radio. The audience share of TV and radio stations continue to decline nationwide, and newspaper paid circulation follows that trend. Yellow-Page-style books are following suit and either going longer periods between publishing due to usage degradation, or closing.
Of course, the leading catalyst of these changes is the advent of the Internet. Most of the traditional media have their own Web sites, and offer only sponsor logos and static banner and tile advertising. Unfortunately, this alone falls far short of intercepting the way people are actually using the Web today to make purchasing decisions and interact on a social level with one another. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) are just a couple of the key components in developing a Web strategy that works.
The missing links for the small business owner to reach the increasing number of people who are utilizing digital devices to receive the information they want and need are available through OurNEWSCafe.com. Social media marketing, one of the most important missing links, is one of the small-business-oriented services offered by OurNewsCafe.com.
Where do consumers turn first to find a local business?
According to a recent Nielsen Online survey, 50% of consumers surveyed said they turn to search engines to find a local business, followed by yellow pages directories at 24%, Internet-based yellow pages directories at 10%, local newspapers at 4%, and white pages directories at 3%.
Since a similar survey conducted two years ago, the recent e survey found that consumer usage of search engines has increased by 72%. Source: Nielsen Online/WebVisible survey, Feb. 2009

Bookmarking Demon has always been really easy to create new social bookmarking accounts with, but BMD5 makes this even simpler with the new email verification function. As you know, when you create accounts on social bookmarking sites, many of them require you to login to your email and click on a link to verify your account. With BMD5, you don’t have to do this anymore. Now you just add in your email accounts, and the software will perform the account verification for you with a click of the ‘Process Emails’ button. There is default support for the gmail account settings, although you do have to login to your gmail and manually enable POP access so BMD can properly retrieve your emails.
If you are an existing BMD owner, then Bookmarking Demon 5 is a free update, and you should have received an email from Edwin telling you where to download it. Otherwise, you can purchase the software for 7. The amount of time you will save with Bookmarking Demon is amazing, and it really is a must have program if you have a ton of sites you need to bookmark. After you grab your copy, make sure to check out my social bookmarking strategy for utilizing BMD to further dominate the search engine rankings for your sites.
I am doing this Bookmarking Demon review now that I have had it for about 5 months and have a good feel for what to expect. I actually have my old laptop set up just to do Bookmarking Demon runs. I have had it going for days at a time and only turn it off when I want to give my laptop a breather. Not everyone can do that I know, but it works great for me to have that second computer that I can devote solely to bookmarking.
Now to the important things like: does it work and is it worth it? If you have a BANS site you know that it consists of many pages each with a different item. For instance, if your Build A Niche site is about kites then you will probably have a separate page for every brand of kite as well as a page for all the different kite accessories. When people search for each type of kite, you are hoping your BANS pages will come up near or at the top of the searches engines and that is how you will get your business. The same thing is true with a blog in that you hope each page will come up high in the search engines for each of your blog post topics.
When you start a new site and have no incoming links at all, it is especially nice to have Bookmarking Demon because you can at least get the ball rolling. By having some links coming to your new website from the major bookmaking sites, this will at least give Google and Yahoo something to follow and they might find your site that way. I have also been bookmarking all my Squidoo lens and every other type of Internet page I have. This is something that most people would never think about but there is no reason why you cannot start working on your keyword authority for your Squidoo pages and BD is perfect for this.
For affiliates that sell online products with Clickbank, paydotcom, click2sell and commission junction, the social bookmarking demon is a must. You can decide to promote your website directly or send bookmarks of your new articles to the social bookmarking websites then to your site. If you have a blog that you continually add posts, then you can bookmark each posting you make and distribute it to hundreds of internet social bookmarking websites.
Deciding how to market your online business can be extremely difficult. Doing the actual marketing can be even harder. If your business uses social bookmarking, you know how effective but time consuming it can be. Getting track backs to your website greatly increases traffic flow but getting all those links out on social sites can take up your valuable time. You might find yourself having to neglect other, important aspects of your business because social booking is so tedious and takes up so much of your business day. With Bookmarking Demon, your social bookmarks basically complete themselves. With this software on your team, your business will be more productive and more profitable than ever before.
